Sardine Tasty / Spicy Fish Curry | Kerala Curry Recipe | Fish Gravy | तारले मछली करी | Hindi and English

Ingredient:

12  sardine fish
1 onion chopped
1 tomato chopped
½ tsp fenugreek seed (methi)
Curry leaves few
1 cup fresh grated coconut
2 green chilies
1 tbsp red chili powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt as per taste
1 tbsp tamarind
Water ½ litter or as needed

For Tempering :

1 tbsp coconut oil
Curry leaves few
1 dry red chili
½ tsp red chili powder 

Method:

1. Marinate the fish with little salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder ( red chili pwdr is optional) and keep aside for 15 minutes.

2. In a mixer jar add coconut, green chilies, tamarind, turmeric pwdr, coriander pwdr, red chili pwdr and water as needed to grind to make a smooth paste. 

3. On low flame, heat cooking oil in a vessel, once the oil is hot add fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, onion and pinch of salt and fry till onion become soft.

4. Now add tomato and fry till they become soft.

5. Now add ground masala paste with little water and fry for a while.

6. Now add water and adjust the consistency of the curry.

7. Once the curry start to boil add fish and salt.

8. Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

9. After 10 minutes, off the flame and prepare the tempering.

10. For tempering heat coconut oil add curry leaves, dry red chili break into half and red chili powder and mix it well.

11. Pour the tempering in fish curry and mix it well.


12.Tasty, spicy and delicious Sardine fish curry is ready to serve with steam rice.
