Ingredients :
1 cup Mawa / Khoya
1 tbsp All purpose flour (maida)
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tbsp Milk as required
Ingredients for Sugar Syrup :
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cup water
5 Cardamoms
1 tsp Yellow food colour (optional)
1 tsp Rose water (optional)
Method : For Syrup
1. On a medium heat In a vassal add water in that add sugar,
cardamoms crushed, food colour, rose water and mix it well, till the sugar
dissolved.
2. Do not boil the sugar syrup, just make it hot and keep aside.
Method : for making Gulab Jamun
1. In a plate take mawa in that add all purpose flour and baking
powder.
2. Mix it well and knead till you get a soft dough.
3. Add milk if the dough is hard.
4. Keep kneading the mixture till it is soft and smooth.
5. Grease the hand with oil and start making small balls out of
dough, there should be no crack lines on the balls, it should be smooth balls
without any crack.
6. In a kadai heat oil on a medium flame add the balls in the hot
oil, and fry till they are golden brown in colour.
7. Keep stirring while frying the gulab jamun balls.
8. Make hot the sugar syrup, before putting the fried Gulab jamun.
9. Once the sugar syrup is hot switch of the flame and add the
fried Gulab Jamun into the hot syrup to soak well.
10. Close the lid and keep for 1 hour atleast before serving.
