Ingredient:
1 cup Semolina / rava / sooji
3 cup water
2 onion chopped
½ tsp mustard seed
½ tsp urad dal
Curry leaves few
½ tsp grated ginger
2 green chilies chopped
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp carrot chopped
2 tbsp green peas
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp desiccated coconut powder
2 tbsp oil
Method:
1. Heat oil in a kadai in that add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves,
green chilies, ginger and fry for a while.
2. Now add onion and fry till it become soft.
3. Now add green peas, carrot and mix it well, cover and cook on
low flame for 5 minutes or till the vegetable is cooked.
4. After 5 minutes open the cover and add desiccated coconut and
fry for 1 minute.
5. Add semolina and mix it well and fry for 2 minutes.
6. Now add sugar and salt and mix until well combined.
7. Now add water and keep stirring continuously, until water dries
up.
8.Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
9. Instant tasty rava upma is ready to eat for breakfast.
