Ingredients :
1 kg Fish tuna (can
use any fish)
salt as per taste
1 tsp turmeric
powder
1 litter water or as
required
4 no. potatoes (boiled
& smashed)
1 tbsp curry leaves
chopped
2 green chili
chopped
1 tbsp ginger
crushed
1 tbsp garlic
crushed
2 onion chopped
1 tsp black pepper
powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 green cardamom
1 inch cinnamon
stick
2 cloves
1 egg (beaten)
Bread crumbs
1 tbsp oil for
frying onion
Oil for deep frying
Method :
1. Wash the fish and boil for 20 minutes by adding salt, turmeric
and water.
2. Remove the water and let the boiled fish cool down completely.
3. Remove the thorns from fish and keep aside.
4. Make the powder of cardamom, cinnamon stick and cloves to a fine
powder.
5. Heat oil in a wok add curry leaves, green chili, ginger, garlic
and fry for a while.
6. Add onion and fry till they are soft.
7. Add whole powder masala and black pepper powder and mix it well
and fry for a while.
8. Add boiled and crushed fish and salt and mix it well.
9. Add boiled potato and mix it well and switch off the flame, let
it cool the mixture completely.
10. Take a little fish mixture and make it into round ball shape.
11. Deep the fish ball in the egg and coat with bread crumb.
12. Heat oil and deep fry the coated fish balls on medium high
heat.
13. Fry all the fish balls till they are dark brown in colour.
14.Tasty fish balls are ready to serve as a snacks.
