Jeera Rice | जीरा राइस | Simple & Easy


Ingredients:

1 cup rice
1 tbsp cumin seed
15 black pepper corns
1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
1 no. onion chopped
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp oil
2 cup water


Method:

1. Heat oil in a deep vessel.

2. Once the oil is hot add black pepper and cumin seed and fry for a while on low flame.

3.  Now add onion and fry till they become soft.

4.  Add ginger, garlic paste and fry for a while till the raw smell goes.

5.  Add water and salt and mix it well.

6.  Cover and cook on high flame till the water comes to boil.
7.  Open the lid, lower the flame and add washed and drain rice and mix it well.

8.  Close the lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame or till the rice is cooked and water get dry.

9.  Jeera rice is ready to serve with any kind of gravy, raita or just eat it as it is.
